About Degrees of Freedom 

In  2016, the Si Se Puede Foundation (SSPF) founded a high school robotics team called Degrees of Freedom (DoF) in Chandler, Arizona. DoF is a community-based FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team that began as an all-girls team to provide young women with access to STEM opportunities. During the 2021 FRC season, DoF’s sibling team, 5465 Binary Bots, merged with DoF when Binary Bots was no longer sustainable on their own. While the team is no longer an all-girls team, it retains its identity of supporting young women in STEM.
